In Cinema, every element is screen directed, nothing simply happens--it propels us moment to moment through the scenes of the story. Can a single image share hallmarks of cinematic style whether you've set the scene as we do in commercial work or as is the case in these images, in a found scene? Not quite so easy to do successfully. Cinema is presented in a narrow/wide format that we can mimic, but must we? Can we by capturing the tone, texture, selective depth of field and sense of drama bend the horizontal expectation to alternate framing? ... maybe.

So this gallery is a exploration of evoking a cinematic feel of ongoing frames in a single frozen moment. An ongoing, quite stimulating experiment on my part.
